High School recruiting process simplified

    • You may receive brochures for camps and questionnaires, nonathletic institutional publications, and NCAA educational material published by the NCAA only.

    • You can call the coach at your own expense. Coach cannot call you.

    • Off-Campus Contact Not Permitted

    • Official Visits Not Permitted

    • Unofficial Visits are Permitted

    • You can begin to receive recruiting material and information from the coach starting September 1st

    • You can call the coach at your own expense. College coach can call you once between April 15 and May 31.

    • All forms of electronic correspondence allowed starting September 1st of Junior Year.  (i.e. texts, IM, email.) Correspondence must be private between athlete & coach.

    • Off-Campus Contact Allowed August 1st.

    • Official Visits Permissible April 1st through the Sunday prior to the last Wednesday in June. Prospects are allowed one visit per college and a maximum of 5 visits to D1 schools, and unlimited for D2, D3 and NAIA schools.

    • Unofficial Visits are Unlimited

    • You can receive material and information from the coach

    • You can call the coach at your own expense. Coach can call once per week starting September 1st. During contact periods college coaches can call unlimited.

    • College coaches have 42 evaluation days to recruit you during September, October, and November of your academic senior year.

    • College coaches have 168 evaluation days to recruit you during spring evaluation period. During your senior year a college coach cannot evaluate you more than 3 times, once during the fall and the other two between April 15th and May 31st.

    • Limit of 6 off-campus contacts per athlete and only one per week.

    • Head football coaches can’t recruit you between April 15th and May 31st.

    • During a contact period college coaches can make only one visit per week to your high school.

NCAA Division ii Football Recruiting Rules

It is important for potential prospects to know the the NCAA Division 2 Football Recruiting Rules. Athletes and coaches have certain restrictions when it comes to college football recruiting. Ensure your eligibility by following the NCAA recruiting rules.

    • You may receive brochures for camps and questionnaires.

    • You can call the coach at your own expense. After June 15th coaches can call, text, and email you unlimited.

      Off-Campus Contact After June 15 of your Sophomore year, these contacts are unlimited.

    • Official Visits Allowed beginning June 15th after your sophomore year.

    • Unofficial Visits are Unlimited

    • You can begin to receive recruiting material and information from the coach. 

    • You can call the coach at your own expense. College coach can call, text, and email you unlimited.

    • Off-Campus Contact Unlimited

    • Official Visits Allowed beginning June 15th after your sophomore year.

NAIA Football Recruiting Rules

NAIA recruiting rules encourage coach-student and personal relationships.

  • Benefits of NAIA recruiting rules include:

    • No recruiting calendar restrictions of any kind

    • Ability to freely communicate with NAIA coaches directly

    • Direct interactions with NAIA coaches
